Zinio for Libraries App Reviews

Doesnt Work

App doesnt delete old magazines when <edit> <delete> is pressed. It doesnt keep previously downloaded magazines. Having lots of problems with this app.

App is horrible

For the past 1 1/2 years, I have been using the normal Zinio app for the magazines I checked out through my library with absolutely no problems. I was prompted to use the app specific for libraries. Downloaded it. Opened it up and it promptly had EVERY magazine I had ever checked out on my list. The other app hid the ones I had deleted. After spending quite some time removing them via edit/ delete, my app locked up. During the edit/delete process the app tried to download some, receiving various errors. Now the app white screens upon trying to open it and I have rebooted my iPad. I am going back to the other app, if it will work.

Will not allow login

Havent used zinio in awhile in connection with my library. Downloaded the new app because I like to read without being in a browser. Now, I cannot even get past the login screen. I sign in with the correct password, but it keeps going back to have me login again. The "need support?" link below the login doesnt wort either. I am on an iPad2

App does not work -- continually Closes and Does Not Respond to Basic Commands

This app just is nonfunctional. Continually closes, when I was switched from the original zineo all my deleted magazines populated. I am having difficulty deleting them... Does not delete well. Very unfortunate.

Miserable. Old Zinio worked well.

Started out slow as mud, then hung, then froze. How much time should one invest in unsuccessful attempts to browse a periodical? Were people paid to develop this app? Do libraries pay to access Zinio? Epic fail.

Why do deleted magazines show up?

As the other reviewer pointed out, all of your old/deleted magazines show up in the app (which in my case is a lot!) I didnt feel like spending all the time to delete so I went back to the original Zinio app.

Useless

Just tried to use this app for the first time on an iPadPro. Will not allow me to use my password. Will not allow me to ask for password help. Will not allow me to get any kind of help. The old system worked seamlessly. I will have to delete this mess.

Lots of issues, but works great sometimes!

When it works, it is great - magazine reading is easy and beautiful! But - I encounter plenty of issues with downloading - failures, complaining of no Internet connection when one in fact exists, etc

Not for mobile

Content is still delivered as a PDF flip page rather than responsive text. Each article requires zoom and pan to make readable. Not mobile friendly.

I use this app every week!

Great app. Easy to use and browse for new magazines!

Disappointing and frustrating

The App does not work. Error after error, after error!

Works great

The app works great on my iPhone 6 Plus. The link taking you to the online magazine catalog is a nice add.

Does anyone from Zinio read these reviews?

Its annoying having to delete read magazines more than once. Also unable to read downloaded magazines when Im offline.

Cant get past login

Dont even get to where it asks for your password. It simply wont recognize my email address. Double, triple, and quadruple-checked email address. Its correct. Already joined my local library. Acknowledged my email address with them. Followed Zinio link from my local library site. Still no luck. Sad. Now starts the dreaded Contact Support roundabout...

This app does not work...at all.

I cant even log in to this app. It tells me I have wrong password even after resetting the password. None of the help links on the log in page work. I had to change the password from the website. I give up. Ill start reading in the browser. Useless.

So many pretty pictures of magazine covers

I cant open the magazines. Would be great if that could be fixed.

love it!

Using this on my iPad with my library. I can zoom in, flip easily. The images look hd. I have an option to just read text if its a long article. Sometimes I get knocked back a few pages while "flipping" through pages. And its hard to delete the last row of magazines bc theres a bar at the bottom that gets in the way.

Was great, not on iOS9.3

The app was working great for me (although it was always best if I selected & checked out my magazines on my MacBook Pro and then downloaded it in Zinio Libraries). But now since updating to iOS 9.3 on my iPad Air 2 - cant use it at all. The magazines I downloaded previously are displayed but wont open at all. When I touch them the screen for removing comes up and when I cancel out of that same thing continues to happen. At first a few older downloaded magazines spontaneously started to download and appear. But after I turned off and restarted the iPad (thinking that might help the app) try could no longer be opened and it was the same as the others, there but wouldnt open and no download arrow. But I could find the, and download them I the regular Zinio app which is now in Newstand. Also on my iPhone 6s still on iOS 9.9.2 was able to download the mags previously checked out but when I accidentally removed one and tried to check it out or others same thing happened to me as others wrote about - refused to let me log in with my correct username/email and password (though it accepted the same when I first logged in). What is happening to the Zinio Libraries app and will it be fixed? Hope RB Digital sees this and responds.

Not working

I was happy to get this app and for the first week everything ran smoothly but not anymore, I cant open any downloaded magazine at all. I can open and read them by going to their website but I cant bookmark in there. I hope they figure how to fix it soon, then Ill give them more stars.

iOS 9.3 killed Zinio for libraries...

Upgraded to 9.3... App no longer works. Same as others - runs, but you cant open any content.
