Zinio for Libraries App Reviews

Once I realized I needed to use Zinio for Libraries, and not the regular Zinio, everything worked fine. No issues logging in. It is annoying to have to browse magazines in a web browser though, it should be integrated into the app.

Ive had to uninstall and reinstall 4 times in two months. After a few times of using it, it gives me an error code and wont download content until I uninstall and reinstall.

While the app has seen several great improvements recently, the most frustrating remaining issue is that changing to horizontal view from vertical view (and vice-versa) changes the current page; while selecting magazines from a webpage that does not indicate already downloaded items (nor highlight items based on interests (i.e. previously specified magazines of interest, subjects of interest, issues with articles matching special interests, favorite personalities, etc.) is less than ideal. Otherwise: Great job!

the magazine pages will not stretch to fit the screen on my 6s+ so theres thick black bars at the top and bottom when Im reading. hopefully a setting to fix this will arrive soon. everything else is working fine. thanks for the app.

Will not accept passwords on login page for iPad. Is Zinio trying to say that library users are second rate with this error filled app?

Once its really good for several months This update hurts. Even reinstall doesnt help. It stays at the downloading state and I cant open the app anymore. Disappointed! I have to look for another app to read magazine.

It will accept my email, open the password page, and there the log in button does nothing. So I cant use this app version. Too bad.

Others have mentioned this, but the biggest bug here is the page changes when you rotate the screen-- youre on a two-page spread in landscape mode, and when you rotate to portrait you end up on a different page within the magazine. This is repeatable and reversible-- Car and Driver, Flying and Condé Nast Traveler all exhibit this behavior. It bothers me GREATLY that this is so easy to reproduce and it never gets addressed or fixed.

Not sure how it works other than the "log in" button does nothing.

Why even have an app of you cant login. Complete garbage. Thanks for wasting my time Zinio. ZERO STARS!

In this day and age, one should not have to go to a website to start a registration process then use the app. There has a way to do that all on the app. The worst, even that was done, I cant still logon to it. The app provide no visual cues if the logon is successful or failed, it just sits there. If i could give no star, I would have.

New version prevents me from getting pass the password page. Tried uninstalling, accessing from library page, etc. no luck. Sad because Ive used he app successfully for years without any problems.

After 2+ months of the app completely not permitting me to login, the app was updated today to fix this specific issue and it now works. I worked with tech support who were not helpful at all and they never really acknowledged the problem. Given todays update text, it is obvious it was a real problem. I raised my review to 3 stars but having a major issue not fixed for 2+ months is not acceptable. This has also happened in the past so this was not the first time the login screen wouldnt work. Very disappointing. The app may be free for users, but Zinio is making money from the libraries (i.e. Taxpayers). Very crummy running an app that doesnt work for many users for so long.

I reported my inability to login to the "zinio to library" support team about 4 days ago. The new release has fixed the issue.

With the latest release, I can now log in to Zinio for libraries.

My taxes went into buying this app. Going to take a while to forgive the amateur hour of login troubles

Login doesnt work. Have new update. Forgot password link doesnt work. Not worth having it if doesnt work.

What a shame that the Zinio service has gone downhill so much from the pleasant reading experience that it was before they introduced this new app. It is terribly slow and buffers a long time every time you turn a page. Unfortunately, Zinio gave users no choice about sticking with the old method, forcing the new app down our throats.

The same issues as everone else: worked fine until recently then started hanging at login. I did t realize it was a universal problem. One that help desk said would be solved by doing things I have already done like clean cache and chane password. Reinstalled and still nothing. Deleted the app. Thanks for noting we should contact our libraries: money is tight at mine so why pay for this worthless app? Edited to say I installed Chrome and tried that route. This time it said it had no record of my email address, even though they send emails to that address. I wish Id bought print editions of the magazines I really need to read. One star only because you cant give minus 10

Black screen, doesnt load, gets hung up and wont work in chrome or Safari. I dont even want to give it one star. I tried all the fixes and nothing works. Possibly the worst app Ive ever downloaded.
