Pros and cons of Zinio for Libraries app for iPhone and iPad

Zinio for Libraries app good for

Works well, except the deleted issues still continue to appear on my list (tried deleting it on account in library website; no luck). Please fix so when a user "deletes" a magazine issue, its deleted permanently. It should be up to the user to re-download the issue (should not have a restore option). EDIT: great update. You can now delete issues permanently from your library yay
It wouldnt let me log in and just froze when I entered the correct username and password. After restarting the app and restarting Safari on my iPad it worked. Not intuitive at all. But once loaded the app is fine. You have to use the library website first to get the book and then it opens it in this app. On the other hand ... Free magazines on my iPad, cool!
If your previously loaded magazines wont load properly after returning to the app, the fix is easy. Hold down the magazine cover until "remove/restore" appears. Select remove. Hold down another magazine front until the option "remove/restore" appears again. Select "restore" and your deleted titles will appear. Reload and it will open fine.
Works fine for me. First login with your Zinio for Libraries account (NOT a Zinio account), then youll need to login with your Library account number and pin.
Once I realized I needed to use Zinio for Libraries, and not the regular Zinio, everything worked fine. No issues logging in. It is annoying to have to browse magazines in a web browser though, it should be integrated into the app.
While the app has seen several great improvements recently, the most frustrating remaining issue is that changing to horizontal view from vertical view (and vice-versa) changes the current page; while selecting magazines from a webpage that does not indicate already downloaded items (nor highlight items based on interests (i.e. previously specified magazines of interest, subjects of interest, issues with articles matching special interests, favorite personalities, etc.) is less than ideal. Otherwise: Great job!

Some bad moments

Cant delete from library, just the content from the device. Even items deleted on my library at the Zinio web site still show up in the app. Cant search for new magazines from within the app. Must switch to a web browser. Help text does not scroll properly on my iPad at least. Magazines display nicely, so that is good.
Found out you need to add the magazine from the web page first. Then, you will see it in the app and download to read offline. Cannot search any magazine within the app.
This app would be great if there was an option to delete titles you no longer wanted from your reading list. Now my reading list is clogged with magazines that I will never download and read again. Please fix this!
Tried logging into the library in Hawaii and my library back home in Canada. Doesnt allow me to create an account for either location. Asks for my email address not my library card?
I thought that after the most recent (Sept 15/15) update that some bugs would be fixed, but the app is still terrible as ever. Magazines seem to download fine, but when I open them up, I get blank page after blank page. Joyous.
Most magazines, except for national geographic, are purple and appears to be negative colours. I know its not my settings, because within the same magazine with colour issues, there are pages within it that are normal (mostly ad pages). I tried to go into my ipad settings and inverted the colour setting, but that didnt resolve the issue.
